WHAT IS A CAD?
A CAD is a computer-aided drafting and is the process by which a technical drawing of a design is created with the use of computer CAD software.
HOW ARE CADS USED?
CAD software creates drawings of a design that aim to increase the productivity of a designer, improve the quality of design, improve communications via documentation, and create a database in the manufacturing process.
CAD's allow designers and their clients to see what their finished rug will look like.
WHEN WILL MY CAD DRAWING BE READY?
CAD drawings can take around 48 hours to create but this is dependent on the complexity of the design in question. The Rug Story's classic designs, however, can be completed with
you in only 24 hours.
As well as ordering a CAD drawing, we highly recommend investing in a sample of our rugs. Our samples and poms are the ideal solutions to talk your clients through your design and allow them to feel the quality, and texture and see the colour up close. We offer rug samples in two sizes, 30 cm x 30 cm and 50 cm x 50 cm, and these can be delivered to you in 7-10 days.

Order a selection of dyed yarn samples (colour poms) from The Rug Story to ensure you complement your client's colour scheme perfectly.
You can choose from our palette of 120 colours, available in three yarns (lyocell, viscose-linen blend or New Zealand wool) or we can dye any of our yarns for an accurate colour match.
